Predictors of In-Hospital Mortality Among Patients with COVID-19 Related Stroke

Introduction. COVID-19-related stroke is associated with a significantly higher mortality than COVID-19 or alone. Mechanisms underlying the increased of patients and should be thoroughly studied.
 Objective: to analyze predictors hospital stroke.
 Materials methods. We retrospectively analyzed 1,386 cases reported by an infectious diseases inpatient clinic in 2020. studied clinical, laboratory, instrumental parameters different outcomes. Logistic regression was used identify independent mortality.
 Results. 539 (38.9%) died during their stay, 437 (38.0%) deaths from ischemic 102 (42.7%) hemorrhagic (p = 0.0001). Independent included age, neurological deficit severity measured NIHSS, severity, laboratory including white blood cell count, creatinine, glucose, D-dimer levels.
 Discussion. The results logistic analysis were able explain only 41% variability among COVID-19.
 Conclusion. Hospital inflammatory response, impaired coagulation, somatic comorbidities.
